| About Us |
| National Research & Technology Consortium(NRTC) is a
Society registered as an Autonomous non-profit organisation by the Himachal Pradesh Government and the Industries to provide R & D services to the Industries located at Parwanoo through its Centre for Analysis, Calibration and Testing(C-ACT), which is NABL accredited Laboratory in calibration & testing on a self-sustainable manner with prescribed charges realised from the user Industries. Beside calibration and testing, NRTC is outsourcing the technical manpower to various Govt. and Semi-Govt. agencies such as, HIMCOSTE, Pollution Control Board, Forest Department etc. The authorities of NRTC are as under: |

| Objectives |
| * To advance, acquire and disseminate scientific knowledge and technologies with the objective of technological upgradation. |
| * To be involved in research and development and to provide a close interaction between National and International research organisation and industry. |
* To provide, develop and manage common services and facilities which would be useful for both industry and research. |

* To publish, print and advertise information related to research and technology to reach it to a larger community. |
|
* To
provide services to industries in the field of Calibration & Testing as per National /International standards. |
|
* To
upgrade available existing testing and calibration facilities/services to achieve consistent rulsts, this would be further useful for both industry and research. |
|
* To outsource Scientific/Technical manpower and skilled professionals to various Govt./Autonomous Departments/Organisations in Himachal Pradesh. |
| NRTC is equipped with 3 calibration laboratories and 2 testing laboratories accredited by National Accreditation Board for Calibration and Testing Laboratories(NABL),
Mechanical Calibration Laboratory, Electrical Calibration Laboratory, Thermal Calibration Laboratory and Electrical Testing Laboratory for testing Home Appliances and Electronics Testing Laboratory for Testing of Electronics & IT products. NRTC is the only NABL accredited laboratory for calibrating
Electronic Weighing Machines in the country. It is pertinent to mention here that NRTC is BIS recognised laboratory for Electrical Testing
and a large volume of Home Appliances and Weighing Machines are expected to come to NRTC for testing. |
